Filip Biljecki is an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore and the founder of the NUS Urban Analytics Lab. He holds MSc and PhD degrees from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He has published more than 170 peer-reviewed articles in urban data science, which have been cited over 10,000 times, and some of the work has been translated into practice such as implementation in standards. His research and teaching have been recognised through multiple awards, and he has supervised dozens of students, leading them to publications in leading journals and placements at top universities and organisations. He delivered invited talks at more than 150 universities and organisations worldwide. Filip serves the community through associate editor roles in two prominent journals in urban studies: Computers, Environment and Urban Systems & Landscape and Urban Planning, and co-chair roles in OGC and ISPRS.
