Sustainability and Smart Cities

IREUS conducts various urban sustainability research, including studies of behavioural interventions in electricity consumption via public campaigns, impact of construction noise and transboundary haze on self-protection behaviours of households, and others. IREUS also conducts randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the effects of real time feedback on water consumption behaviours using smart water shower meters.

Proposed Research Projects

Smart information feedback on air-conditioning usage

Past Research Project

Jointly Funded by PUB and Academic Research Fund (Tier 1)
