IREUS Industry Events

Upcoming Events:

Even as the world comes to terms with Covid-19, other pressing global issues such as climate change and the global warming it entails remain to be addressed. How will our quality of life be affected, and can we proceed along with our current trajectory of economic growth and development? Or would we now need to do things differently, to secure a viable habitat for ourselves and future generations? We have gathered a panel of experts in the field to broach this topic, and, in particular, delve into how Asian cities can rise up to the challenge of long-term sustainability.

This event is co-organised with the NUS Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions.

The idea that companies should only care about maximising profits and making shareholders happy at the expense of everything else
is now quickly becoming passé.
Global issues like climate change, inequality, poverty, hunger and other pressing problems require a
concerted response from all stakeholders, which includes businesses.
As the theme of the e-seminar aptly asks, should we continue to
“do things right” in pursuit of diverse and often disparate agendas, or is it time for us to come together to “do the right things” – for
ourselves, our children, and the generations that come after?
On this grand canvas of ambitious visions and unremitting efforts to make
the world a better place, what is the role of real estate and its practitioners?
Join us on 23 November 2021, to hear from established experts
in the field as they share their insights.
