Dr. Sun is the Executive Director at China International Capital Corporation (CICC), where he leads the investment banking business in Southeast Asia, focusing on sectors including TMT, healthcare, consumer, and financial services. Dr. Sun also heads the bank’s REITs product initiatives, serving as a pioneering regime specialist across key Asia markets.

Prior to joining CICC, Dr. Sun served as the Director of Ascendas Asia Fund Management at CapitaLand, where he contributes to real estate investment deals in the APAC region. Before that, he was Vice President at Vanke Hong Kong, overseeing international acquisitions and asset management functions.

Dr. Sun holds a PhD from NUS Business School and dual master’s degrees in real estate and architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is actively engaged in academia as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Institute of Real Estate & Urban Studies in NUS, a Distinguished Executive Fellow on the Advisory Board of China Connections at INSEAD, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Dr. Sun is a CFA charter holder and a certified Financial Risk Manager.
