Established in 1998, the International Real Estate Review (IRER) is a journal associated with Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) and Global Chinese Real Estate Congress (GCREC). It serves as a main forum for the dissemination of innovative research in finance, economics and policy aspects of international real estate markets.

IRER seeks to advance knowledge on international real estate by publishing theoretical and empirical research papers concerning international real estate markets with emphasis on Asian real estate markets. IRER covers topics in the fields of housing, urban and real estate economics, which include but not limited to institutional settings, regulations and public policies in real estate markets, corporate real estate assets, real estate securitization and REIT, international real estate investments, green and environmental sustainability, and behavioural real estate economics, among others.
